All About Audrey

I am a third-generation musician, originally from small-town Kansas. I fell in love with the vibrancy of New Orleans and moved here over a decade ago, bringing with me a background in acting—I hold a BFA in Acting from Oklahoma City University—and a lifelong love of music.

While working as a dialect coach and film actor for many years, I became immersed in the swing dance scene of New Orleans, soaking up the rich traditional jazz culture.

Simultaneously building a successful career as a celebrity dialect coach, I kept my voice in shape by taking opera lessons in the Treme.

But it wasn't until life started life-ing that I felt like I had something to say.

After having a baby, a divorce, and some surgeries, I emerged as a new person. I began breathing in a freer way than ever before. Like an uncaged bird, I started singing every day and truly learning my voice as an instrument.

I have never felt more alive.

My band is known for sultry reinterpretations of early 20th-century jazz and blues standards. I call it "naughty jazz." Our repertoire explores themes of love, longing, and lust, aiming to capture the provocative and storytelling spirit of the eras gone by.

Through my music, I aim to honor the women who first sang boldly about pleasure and independence while reframing their music for contemporary audiences. My performances celebrate the cultural legacy of sassy women in jazz and invite new listeners to experience its enduring sensuality and charm.

My debut album, "The Uptown Divorcee," features an all-star line-up and is set to come out in May 2026.
